Certified longarm quilter users are able to sign up for project hours to complete personal projects in the library's MakerSpace. Important Notes About Project Hours: - All users must use materials from the library's quilting kit or certified materials. Volunteers will work with attendees to ensure that approved materials are being used. Patrons without approved materials will be asked to reschedule their project time.
- Projects must be 90 inches or less due to the limitations of the machine
- Project hours are limited to one session per week and two sessions per month, per patron, to ensure that all users have time to use the machine. Individuals who sign up on the library's waitlist will be contacted in the case of cancellations.

Each year, the library partners with United Way of East Central Iowa to offer tax intake and preparation services. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is a national IRS-sponsored program that helps individuals receive their maximum federal and state tax refunds. If your household income is less than $69,000, you may qualify for VITA’s services. Please note that VITA is available by appointment only, and appointments must be scheduled in advance through United Way.
